STAY SAFE
Connection to nature for nurture; self-sufficiency emotionally, mentally and physically; and wholesome rest inherited from food and self-care are our offerings to share with you during retreats and we work closely with facilitators, so that you may integrate whatever it is you have experienced during these times in a safe, non-judgemental and loving environment.
As a dedicated team with affection for our clients, we are doing our utmost to ensure all procedures and requirements are met in line with the guidelines of the Portuguese Tourism Board, a greater detail of which can be found here.
Otherwise specifically to The Shanti Space, we would like to give a brief overview of how we consider your needs when combined with group settings and yoga classes.
Check In - We will send you a map to your property prior to your arrival, and give you a call to talk through the procedures and your check in. We will work with our guests with staggered arrival and departure times to make sure they donβt get too busy.
Social Distancing - Please stay at least 2 metres apart from other guests and staff and respect other guests space
Exceptional Cleanliness - You will notice increased cleaning throughout your stay with attention to key touch points.
We will be using natural cleaning products that decompose into harmless by products safe for ourselves and our environment
Hygiene stations with hand Sanitisers are available throughout the site and all guest areas
We remind all colleagues to continually practice safe hygiene measures.
Staff are being temperature checked at the beginning of each shift and this is available for all guests as required
Prior to your arrival your accommodation would have been deep cleaned.
Our team is receiving ongoing training and regular updates regarding best practice to ensure your safety as well as that of our staff in line with government guidelines.
Yoga
- We are grateful to have two spaces in which to carry out yoga classes, meditation sessions and many other modalities. One is a wooden deck which perches on the side of our hill producing grand views of the valley and surrounding forests. The other is a (maybe size dimension here?) which features windows enveloping all sides.
- Both spaces allow for not only an abundance of light but more importantly an ample amount of fresh air
- Each guest will be designated their own yoga mat, bolsters, blocks and strap for the duration of their stay, all of which will have been sufficiently cleaned and disinfected beforehand.
- Each guest will also be assigned their own 'spot' in each yoga shala. This is to ensure there will be a distance of 1.5 metres between each person practicing and can be lightly marked out on the floor space with tape.
- Alcohol will be available at the entrance and exit of the session.
Accommodation/Toilet
- The bathrooms will be cleaned daily.
- Bed sheets/linen and other furniture will not be changed or interfered with by our team during your stay.
Public/Dining Areas
- Similarly, all public spaces will have suggested distancing measures. We have two dining tables, one inside and out, both of which can comfortably sit over 20 people, therefore communal food can be comfortably enjoyed whilst still engaging with others if you so desire.
- Food will be served by our team to your table. Our team will also be wearing masks and are happy to provide more food on request from the kitchen, as we feel an open style buffet is not appropriate at this time.
Any other queries or concerns please do contact us. We hope that we can enjoy, thrive and celebrate this space together in a way that allows you to relax and feel supported.
WE ARE IN THIS TOGETHER SO WE RESPECTFULLY ASK OUR GUESTS TOβ¦
