Arrive softly while silence is introduced & after 3 days in silence - without interaction - the group will be reintegrated gently back to spoken word on the final day.
Re-emerge ready to move forward with greater ease, focus & joy. Find yourself grounded & centred in the profound simplicity of sacred silence.
elegant PRACTICES
Yin & RESTORATIVE Yoga
Create space from the dense to the sublime, Yin Yoga supports a receptive state of being & slow unravelling by releasing deeply held tension in the body’s connective fascial tissue & supporting an equanimous awareness that enables a soft welcoming & acceptance of what arises.
pranayama / BREATHWORK
In Sanskrit, prana means "vital life force", & yama means to gain control. These breath control practices elevate life energies & with a variety of breathing techniques, these workshops will offer the opportunity to experience an altered sense of yourself completely.
mindfulness & SELF ENQUIRY
An integrative, mind-body meditation which involves paying attention to your experience, your thoughts & feelings so you become more aware, less enmeshed & better able to handle them & tend to life. These practices are designed to help you relate more skilfully to thoughts, emotions & body sensations bringing you deeper into presence.
candlelit SOUND BATHS
A deeply-immersive, full-body listening experience that intentionally uses sound to invite gentle yet powerful therapeutic & restorative processes. Bathing in a beautiful healing resonance allows the body, mind & soul to be brought into a state of harmony.

LOCATION: The Shanti Space
Shanti, Sanskrit for Peace or to T. S. Eliot “The Peace which passeth understanding.”
The Shanti Space is a sanctuary for personal development & empowerment; a space to rest and restore well-being whilst bathed in abundant nature.
The venue, an old Quinta set in a national park endowed with beautiful fruit trees, giant oak corks, grape vines, vistas and a stream at the end of the garden where many often encounter their neighbours; deer and wild boar.
TRANSPORT
The nearest airport is Lisbon only 25 minutes away.
The easiest way is to come in Uber / transfer. It will cost about 30€ and 25-30 minutes of travel.
DELICIOUS PLANT-BASED MEALS & SNACKS
The food we eat every day can be a medicine with the power to transform, nourish, strengthen and heal imbalances. We have a plant based approach providing nutrient dense dishes; mostly organic, locally sourced or from our garden and delicious!
We like our food to be eclectic and colourful, packed full with flavour, superfoods and antioxidants that cleanse and enrich the body, mind and soul. When we design our recipes, we look at the seasons, the environment and food energetics to maintain and support harmony in the body.
Key things we feel are important to remember: its got to taste good, enjoy what you eat, avoid overeating, use local and seasonal produce, have fun in the kitchen and eat an inclusive, broad diet.

Facilitator: Jessica Maria Weaver
Founder of The Shanti Space, Jessica began exploring yoga & meditation 20 years ago & has supported the lives of many with practices & spaces dedicated to awakening, healing & transformation.
Now with over 750 hours' yoga teacher training specialising in Yin, Kundalini & Tantra, she is a certified Meditation & Biodynamic Breathwork facilitator with a trauma-informed approach. Embodiment & love for Nature are integral to her grounded & embodied approach to spirituality.
In 2011 she bowed out of a successful career in creative advertising & seeking inspiration travelled the world to deepen her practice, explore cultures & ways to bring depth & expansion to her creativity & life view.
She brings a trauma-informed & grounded approach, compassionate, fluid & intuitively inviting greater awareness to the teachings of the breath, self-resourcing & resilience to retrain the nervous system & rekindle trapped energy & flow.
Her practices are carefully selected to gently unravel & release internal blockages people face to living an abundant fulfilling life.
