Relaxation Massage

Relaxation massage therapy is a smooth, gentle treatment that relieves muscular tension, increases circulation, and promotes a general sense of relaxation. This massage is performed using Swedish techniques consisting of long, rhythmic strokes and small circular movements which help to break down adhesions and promote better circulation.

It is often used to reduce muscle tension while bringing the body back to a relaxed state, which in turn helps to calm the mind, the nervous system promoting better sleep, clarity and improved digestion.

AROMATHERAPY Massage

Aromatherapy massage is used for a variety of different reasons, including relaxation, pain management, and improved mood. Adding essential oils to any massage treatment is thought to enhance the benefits of hand on therapy greatly.

After a small discussion prior to the massage, Nicola will use a variety of essential oils unique to your situation - by diffusing an essential oil in the room during your session and adding a few drops of oil to massage lotion and applying it directly to your skin.

Aromatherapy, when done properly, is a real treat for all the senses and can work magic to improve your overall physical and mental well-being.

Full Body Abhyanga Ayurvedic Massage

Ayurvedic massage also known as abhyanga, employs holistic and integrative medicine principles used 3000 years ago in India, where it was first discovered. The main focus of this massage treatment is to balance out doshas within your body to achieve spiritual fulfilment and relaxation.

It also helps to improve lymphatic drainage, release muscle tension and nourish the skin. It stands out from other massages due to its focus on the skin, rather than just the underlying muscles—from the warm oil used to the circulation-stimulating movements.

The practice is tied deeply to the notion of self-care. Sneha is the root word for this type of massage in Sanskrit, which also translates to mean ‘love.’ During this 90 minute treatment, Nicola is able to feel if and what imbalances your body might be experiencing, and help to realign them, restoring a sense of harmony back into the body, mind and soul.
